After being denied his award for his sexual orientation, a local boy scout council approved Ryan Andresen’s application.  “I don’t think sexual orientation should enter into why a Scout is a Scout, or whether they are Eagle material,” said Bonnie Hazarabedian, a district review board member that signed off on Andresen’s application. “We felt without a doubt he deserved that rank.” Proud to be an Eagle Scout again

When someone gets assaulted for his sexuality, look, existence, both verbally and physically by a stranger, and then assaulted by a police officer who is sworn to protect but does nothing that’s beyond wrong. He is someone who did nothing more than stand up for himself and was forced to deny pressing charges to avoid getting charged himself. We cannot let this bashing culture exist.

What a shame

A friend of mine was assaulted first by someone near his home, and then by Orlando police. When someone gets assaulted for his sexuality, look, existence, both verbally and physically by a stranger, and then assaulted by a police officer who is sworn to protect but does nothing that’s beyond wrong. He is someone who did nothing more than stand up for himself and was forced to deny pressing charges to avoid getting charged himself. We cannot let this bashing culture exist.
